on the waterfront

Here's a few pictures taken from the Gibsons dock on a grey day. Since my trip to New Zealand with Shirley I've been trying to be a tourist in my own town - trying to see things & take pictures as if it's the first time I've seen them. Also trying to take pictures that I might not have considered to have had aesthetic merit previously. I think that my recent foray into painting is helping me to see things in different ways. I'll attempt to keep posting throughout the summer & I will wait with baited breath for my children to comment...

This is my favourite "grad" picture of Katie (despite what she thinks), and since she is such a pretty flower, I have added some more flower pictures. The roses are downtown Gibsons by the George Gibsons statue, and the other two pictures were taken at Davis Bay by the beach - with my favourite little cottage in the background.
